New Haven’s SoHo??

Tom Condon writes about urban and regional issues for the CT Mirror. He recently posted a great article on New Haven's Historic 9th Square entitled "After two decades, it’s New Haven’s SoHo."

Thanks to imagination and patience, 94 percent of the retail space in Ninth Square is leased, according to June figures from the Town Green Special Services District, which promotes the downtown area.

Lunch Spotlight: Kumo Hibachi Steakhouse

There are limited places to get sushi within walking distance from the New Haven Green (where our office is located), but Kumo Hibachi Steak House, located at 7 Elm St, on the corner of State & Elm Streets, is a neighborhood gem.

Not only is the environment and staff welcoming, but the food is really good. The space itself is a lot larger than it looks from the outside. From the entrance, there are several tables in the well-lit main seating area, a large bar, and the hibachi stations. The vibe is modern and clean.
