Clean and Safe
Capitalizing on Downtown New Haven’s assets, inspiration, and potential, with the intention of creating public spaces that promote people’s health, happiness, and well-being. Our efforts make it easier to enjoy lunch outside with a friend or a cup of coffee while soaking up some sun.
The Ambassadors are recognized throughout downtown as a welcoming presence and a helpful resource. They underdo continuous training to handle daily situations and problem solve appropriately. These situations include preventing aggressive panhandling, observing and reporting incidents to the authorities, and addressing daily maintenance issues on streets and sidewalks.
