Orange Street, between Center & Crown

Filled with color, you can find the Orange Street Promenade in the quaint and vibrant 9th Square Neighborhood of downtown New Haven. Our Salsa Nights are perfect for beginners and experts alike! At the beginning, learn from instructors, then spend the rest of the evening enjoying free dance on our rainbow dance floor.

Promenade Features

The Promenades are pedestrian havens! For the safety of all, please dismount and walk all wheeled vehicles when entering each space.

The Promenade features outdoor dining terrasses specific to each business as well as public seating located in front of the 9th Square Market. Grab a bite at a restaurant to sit at their terrasse or take out from anywhere and head to the public seating area!

Since 2020, the Straight Up Art mural program has brought 4 new public art pieces to the 9th Square.
